The Conference

The Asia-Pacific Conference 2005 is the eight regional conference held every two years. It is intended to bring together international speakers to meet and discuss innovative and integrated approaches in improving the over-all quality of the indoor and built environment.

There is an increasing focus world-wide on making buildings more sustainable in terms of the social, economic, and environmental aspects. With the bulk of the population in the cities, growth in the next three decades in Southeast Asia and elsewhere will be towards the creation of mega-cities. Buildings will need to be responsive to human needs, yet reduce their environmental loadings.

The events are of interest to the professionals involved in the design, commissioning, management, and operation of all types of buildings and who are concerned about health, comfort and productivity in facilities, and the energy and other resources required to maintain buildings.
